Birthdays happen at Cantina Rooftop every night. Tables for 2 to 8 book online, groups of 9 or more send a group request, and a live DJ plays every night we're open, Tuesday to Sunday, under a heated glass roof at 605 W 48th St in Hell's Kitchen.

How a birthday works here
Book the table, tell us whose birthday it is in the occasion box, and come ready for a party. Cantina opened in 2015 as Manhattan's first Mexican rooftop, and there has been a live DJ every night since, so a birthday dinner here comes with music, rainbow umbrellas overhead and the Midtown skyline outside the glass.
The kitchen is Mexican and built for sharing: birria tacos with consomé for dipping, three kinds of guacamole, Mexican street corn, and margaritas by the glass or the pitcher. For the toast, the birthday shots and the Piñata Sundae are already on the menu.

Taco Tuesday birthday
Unlimited tacos for $25 per person for 90 minutes, 5 to 11pm. One price for the whole table, and the DJ plays it like a weekend.
Wednesday
Karaoke birthday
Karaoke from 7 to 10pm, with dinner on the roof and the DJ between songs. A birthday with a microphone.
Thursday
Taco Tower night
The Taco Tower (tacos, quesadillas and guacamoles) is $90 and the piña colada trio is $25. Order either one alone or both as a combo.
Friday & Saturday
Dinner, then After Dark
Dinner till 11pm, then Cantina After Dark (21+) turns the roof into a club till 3am. Dinner guests can stay; walk-ins need a ticket.
Saturday & Sunday
Birthday brunch
Bottomless mimosas and sangrias for $25 per person for 90 minutes, from 12pm. Everyone at the table participates; last seating 3:45pm.

Yes. Tables are held for 90 minutes so everyone gets a turn on the roof.
Can we do a birthday brunch?
Yes. Bottomless brunch is every Saturday and Sunday from 12pm: unlimited mimosas and sangrias for $25 per person for 90 minutes, and everyone at the table participates. The last seating is 3:45pm. Book bottomless brunch.
Is there a DJ on birthday nights?
Yes. There's a live DJ every night we're open, Tuesday to Sunday, so every birthday gets a party.
Is the rooftop open for birthdays in winter?
Yes. In winter the retractable glass roof closes and the room is heated, so birthdays on the roof happen all year. How the heated rooftop works.
