NYC Restaurant Week, Winter 2027: The Calendar, the Prices and the Saturday Rule
NYC Restaurant Week next runs from January 19 to February 11, 2027, and reservations open on January 6. There are three prices, two or three courses, and one rule that catches people out every season: Saturdays don't count.
NYC Tourism + Conventions runs the program. Its visitor page still says only "We'll be back winter 2027," but its sign-up page for restaurants already gives the dates and the rules, so that's what we used here, checked November 2026. If the visitor page says something different in January, believe the visitor page.

- Book Reservations open
- Mon to Fri Every restaurant taking part that week
- Maybe Sunday: only if the restaurant opted in
- No Saturday: regular menus
Dates and day rules from NYC Tourism's sign-up page, checked November 2026.
That's 24 days on the calendar, but only 18 of them are sure things. Monday to Friday is required, Sunday is up to each restaurant, and Saturday is out, so the 3 Saturdays in the middle are regular-menu nights everywhere.
Two dates to notice. It starts on a Tuesday, the day after Martin Luther King Jr. Day. And it ends on Thursday, February 11, three days before Valentine's Day, so your Valentine's dinner won't be on the program.
How the deal works
Each restaurant chooses one price for each meal it offers: $30, $45 or $60. Lunch is two courses and dinner is three. A restaurant can't sell both a $30 and a $60 dinner in the same season, because the rules allow one price per meal time.
- Lunch, dinner or both. Some places only do one, so check before you plan a Tuesday lunch around one.
- Some weeks, not all. Restaurants can sign up for only part of the program. A place being on the list doesn't mean it's on the list the night you want. CBS New York said the same about 2025: not every restaurant offers the deal for the full run, so check first.
- Eating in. Takeout and delivery aren't promoted during the program.
- Not every menu is posted. NYC Tourism says some restaurants don't publish theirs, so you may have to call or ask.
What $30, $45 and $60 really cost
Tax and tip go on top of the price. Sales tax in New York City is 8.875%. The tip is your call; this table uses 20% of the menu price, which is our arithmetic and not a rule.
| Menu price | Tax | 20% tip | You pay | For two |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $30 | $2.66 | $6.00 | $38.66 | $77.32 |
| $45 | $3.99 | $9.00 | $57.99 | $115.98 |
| $60 | $5.33 | $12.00 | $77.33 | $154.66 |
The rules only cover the courses, so assume drinks are extra as well. A $60 dinner for two is a $155 night before anyone orders a glass of wine.
How to book
- Get on the list now. The visitor page has an email sign-up for when the lineup goes live.
- On January 6, open the list. You can browse by location and cuisine. Pick two or three places, not one.
- Check three things for each. Is it lunch or dinner? Which price? Which weeks? Those answers differ from one restaurant to the next.
- Book the way you normally would, and say you're coming for the Restaurant Week menu.
- Avoid Saturday. If your group can only do Sunday, confirm that the restaurant opted in for Sundays.
When to book, going by past seasons
| Season | Program | Booking opened | Lead time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Winter 2025 | Jan 21 to Feb 9 | Jan 7 | 14 days |
| Summer 2025 | Jul 21 to Aug 17 | Jul 15 | 6 days |
| Winter 2026 | Jan 20 to Feb 12 | Jan 7 | 13 days |
| Summer 2026 | Jul 20 to Aug 16 | Jul 14 | 6 days |
| Winter 2027 | Jan 19 to Feb 11 | Jan 6 | 13 days |
2025 dates from NYC Tourism's press release, CBS New York and Fox 5. 2026 dates from NYC Tourism, Time Out and amNY. Checked November 2026.
Winter gives you about two weeks between the list going live and the first lunch. Summer gives you six days. If you have one specific restaurant in mind, book it on the first day, because it can only seat so many people at that price.
Is it a good deal?
Sometimes. Here's the test, and it takes one minute. Open the restaurant's regular menu and add up a starter, a main and a dessert. If those come to $70 and it's offering three courses at $45, that's a real saving. If they come to $50, you're paying for a shorter menu and a full room.
Then look at the Restaurant Week menu itself. A prix fixe usually gives you fewer choices than the regular list. If the two dishes you came for aren't on it, skip the deal and order what you wanted.
$30 is where to look at lunch. With only two courses to pay for, it's the cheapest way into a dining room you'd otherwise save for a birthday. Lunch usually means a weekday, though, because Saturdays are out and Sundays are optional.
Who's on the list, and who isn't
Any restaurant in the five boroughs can apply, except national fast-food chains and dessert-only places, and NYC Tourism reviews each offer. Over 650 restaurants took part in summer 2026. The program started in 1992 as a one-time event for the Democratic National Convention and never stopped.
It isn't free for restaurants. The listed 2027 fee is $1,950 to $2,150 for a place in Manhattan south of Harlem, and $995 to $1,200 for Harlem, farther north and the other boroughs. That covers both the winter and summer seasons. So if a favorite of yours isn't on the list, it may simply have decided not to pay, and that says nothing about its food.
A related deal: NYC Broadway Week
NYC Tourism also runs a 2-for-1 ticket program, NYC Broadway Week, and says it's back in winter 2027. It works as 50% off each ticket with a minimum of two, fees included. Its dates weren't posted when we checked, so don't assume they line up with these.
Is Cantina Rooftop part of it?

We haven't announced a Restaurant Week menu, so please don't book with us expecting one. The rules above ask for Monday to Friday, and we're closed on Mondays. Tuesday to Thursday 5pm to 11pm (last reservation 10pm), Friday 5pm to 3am, Saturday 12pm to 3am and Sunday 12pm to 9:30pm. Closed Mondays.
We do have a set price of our own. Taco Tuesday is $25 per person for 90 minutes, by reservation. It's a loud room with a live DJ, and the glass roof is closed and heated when it's cold. If you want a hushed three courses, use the official list.
NYC Restaurant Week questions
When is NYC Restaurant Week 2027?
The winter season runs from Tuesday, January 19 to Thursday, February 11, 2027, according to NYC Tourism's sign-up page for restaurants. Reservations open on January 6. The official page is where the list of restaurants goes up.
How much is NYC Restaurant Week?
Each restaurant picks $30, $45 or $60 per person, for a two-course lunch or a three-course dinner. Tax and tip aren't included, so a $60 dinner comes to about $77 a person with a 20% tip.
Does NYC Restaurant Week include Saturdays?
No. Saturdays are excluded. Sundays are optional, so only some restaurants offer it. Monday to Friday is required of every restaurant during the weeks it takes part.
Are drinks included?
The price covers the courses. Tax and gratuity are extra by the program's rules, and those rules don't mention drinks, so assume they cost extra too. Ask before you order if a restaurant offers a pairing.
Do you need a reservation for NYC Restaurant Week?
The program is built around reservations, which open two weeks before the winter start. Some places may have a seat if you walk in, but we wouldn't count on it at dinner. When you book, say you're coming for the Restaurant Week menu.
Which restaurants take part?
The full list goes up on nyctourism.com/restaurant-week when reservations open, and you can browse it by location and cuisine. Over 650 restaurants took part in summer 2026. Any restaurant in the five boroughs can apply, apart from national fast-food chains and dessert-only places.
Is there a summer NYC Restaurant Week?
Yes. NYC Tourism says the program runs every summer and winter, usually July and August, and January and February. Summer 2026 ran July 20 to August 16. Summer 2027 dates weren't posted when we checked in November 2026.
Can you get takeout during Restaurant Week?
It's for eating in. NYC Tourism says takeout and delivery won't be promoted during the program, though a restaurant may offer them on its own.
Is Cantina Rooftop part of NYC Restaurant Week?
We haven't announced a Restaurant Week menu, so please don't book with us expecting one. Check the official list when it goes live. Our own Taco Tuesday is $25 per person for 90 minutes, and it isn't part of the program.
