Your ticket shows the theater and the curtain time. How Broadway timing works
Most Broadway evening shows now start at 7pm on weeknights and 8pm on Saturdays. Matinees are usually 2pm on Wednesday and Saturday, and 2pm or 3pm on Sunday, and most shows are dark on Monday. Times vary by show and change in holiday weeks, so check your ticket.
Most theaters open their doors 30 to 45 minutes before curtain, with security screening at the door, and a few ask for more time. We plan for being at the door 30 minutes before curtain.
Dinner here starts at 5pm, Tuesday to Sunday, and tables are held for 90 minutes. For a 7pm show, the 5pm table is the one to book. For an 8pm Saturday show, around 6pm. On Saturday and Sunday, brunch starts at noon, in time for most matinees. And after a Sunday matinee, dinner starts at 5pm.

How far is Cantina Rooftop from the Broadway theaters?
About 12 to 21 minutes on foot to the 40 theaters in the Theater District. The closest are the Longacre and the Walter Kerr, on W 48th St, our own street. The Vivian Beaumont at Lincoln Center is about 22 to 25 minutes.
What time should I book dinner before a 7pm show?
The 5pm table. Depending on your theater, that leaves about 65 to 75 minutes at the table before you walk over. Check your theater in the planner.
And before an 8pm show on Saturday?
Around 6pm for most theaters, which leaves about 75 minutes at the table. The planner gives the exact time for yours.
Can I eat before a matinee?
On Saturday and Sunday, brunch starts at 12pm, in time for most 2pm and 3pm matinees. On weekdays we open at 5pm, so come up after the show.
How early should I get to the theater?

Are you open on Mondays?
No, we're closed on Mondays, and most Broadway shows are dark on Monday too. Our hours: Tuesday to Thursday 5pm to 11pm, Friday 5pm to 3am, Saturday 12pm to 3am and Sunday 12pm to 9:30pm. Closed Mondays.
