Lincoln Center is 1.14 miles north of Cantina Rooftop: a short cab ride, or about 23 minutes on foot. We're a Mexican restaurant and rooftop bar at 605 W 48th St in Hell's Kitchen, with dinner from 5pm and a live DJ every night, so you can eat early and ride up, or come down after a daytime performance. Closed Mondays.

The cab is the easy part
On a performance night, we'd skip the walk. Finish dinner, step out onto 48th Street, and a cab gets you up to Lincoln Center in a short ride. Coming to us, give the driver 605 W 48th St, between 11th and 12th Avenues; we're on the roof of the HK Hall building.
With time to spare, walking works too, and it's nearly a straight line. From Lincoln Center go south on Amsterdam Avenue; below 59th Street it becomes 10th Avenue. Stay on it to 48th Street, turn right, and walk west past 11th Avenue. That's 1.14 miles, about 23 minutes.
Before the curtain, or after a matinee
Before. Start times vary by venue and company, so check Lincoln Center's website for yours. Then book a table early enough to eat, pay and catch the cab without hurrying. Dinner starts at 5pm, and booking toward the start of the evening leaves the most room.
After. A daytime performance lets you do it the other way round: ride or walk down afterwards and make dinner the second half of the outing. On a weekend, brunch runs from 12pm to 4:30pm (last seating 3:45pm) for anyone eating before an afternoon start.
If your performance is on a Monday, book us for a different night; we're closed.

A different soundtrack for the evening
Before the main performance, a DJ plays live on our roof, every night we're open. The kitchen is Mexican (tacos and guacamole) and the bar runs on margaritas and mezcal. Above it all is a glass roof that opens in summer and closes, heated, for winter. See the menu →
Each weeknight has its own draw: Taco Tuesday, with unlimited tacos for 90 minutes at $25 per person (5 to 11pm, by reservation); karaoke on Wednesdays, 7 to 10pm; and Thursday's Taco Tower, $90. Karaoke night →

Take the cab: it's a short ride and you arrive unhurried. The walk, about 23 minutes, suits a free afternoon better than a start time.
What's the walking route?
Head south on Amsterdam Avenue, which becomes 10th Avenue at 59th Street. At 48th Street turn right and walk west past 11th Avenue to number 605.
How early should we eat before a performance?
Look up your start time on Lincoln Center's website and work back: the cab ride north, plus a dinner you can finish calmly. Dinner starts at 5pm. Book an early table.
Is there brunch before a weekend matinee?
Yes, Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4:30pm, last seating 3:45pm. Bottomless brunch is $25 per person for 90 minutes, and everyone at the table takes part.

Tuesday to Sunday; Monday is our night off. Our hours: Tuesday to Thursday 5pm to 11pm, Friday 5pm to 3am, Saturday 12pm to 3am and Sunday 12pm to 9:30pm. Closed Mondays.
