After the curtain, you've got one shot at the last table
Our last reservation is 10pm Tuesday to Saturday and 9pm on Sunday. The theaters are about 12 to 22 minutes from our door on foot. So a show that lets out by about 9:30 can work, and a later one probably can't. The chart does the math.
When your show lets out
Check your ticket or the theater's site for the running time. This assumes you walk straight here.

Book before the show, not after
Book the table before you go in. Pick a time from the chart based on when your show should let out, and give yourself the extra 15 minutes if you can.
If you're running late, call us at (212) 957-1700. We can't hold a table forever, and we'd rather know.
It'll be loud by then. If you've just sat through something sad, this may be a shock, and that might be what you need.
The easier options
- WednesdayAfter a matinee, you can walk over and sit down when dinner starts at 5pm. That's also karaoke night, from 7pm.
- SaturdayAfter a matinee, dinner starts at 5pm. Before one, brunch starts at 12pm.
- SundayAfter a matinee, dinner from 5pm works well. We close at 9:30pm, so this is the one to plan early.
- Any nightEat before instead. The pre-theater planner works out when to sit down and when to leave.
After-show questions
Can I eat at Cantina Rooftop after a Broadway show?
Yes, if you can make the last reservation: 10pm Tuesday to Saturday, 9pm on Sunday. It's about 12 to 22 minutes on foot from the theaters, or a short cab.
How late can we sit down?
The last reservation is 10pm on weeknights. On Tuesday to Thursday you can stay until we close at 11pm.
How far are you from the theaters?
The closest houses are on our own street, W 48th St, about 12 minutes on foot. Every theater and its walk time is on our Broadway map.
What if the show runs long?
Call us at (212) 957-1700. If you can't make the last table, it's better to know now and plan on dinner before the show next time.
