Occasions · Cold outside · Closed and heated

It's freezing. Go up to the roof anyway.

When it's cold, the glass roof closes and the room is heated, so you can still eat on a rooftop in January. Keep your coat for the walk over. Then order the birria tacos, because they come with a cup of consomé for dipping.

What to eat when you can't feel your hands

Read from tonight's menu.

  1. Birria tacos$22Slow-braised beef, with a cup of consomé to dip into. This is the one.
  2. Quesa Birria$20The same beef and consomé, with melted cheese in a grilled tortilla.
  3. Queso Fundido$18Oaxaca cheese and poblano peppers, melted, with house-made tortillas.
  4. Braised Short Ribs$35With garlic mashed potatoes, if it's that kind of night.
  5. Fajitas Clásicas$25They come out sizzling. Protein is extra.
  6. Mexican Churros$13Cinnamon, with Nutella and dulce de leche for dipping.

Not in the mood for anything frozen? The Zamora Espresso-o Martini has espresso in it, and the Phony Espresso Negroni has no alcohol.

What to wear, and what to expect

Casual is fine. Wear a coat for the walk: we're about 12 minutes on foot from the C/E at 50th St, and that walk heads toward the river, which doesn't help. If you run cold, keep a layer with you.

The room is heated and the roof stays closed. You still have the rainbow umbrellas overhead, the DJ and the skyline. You won't have the open sky, which comes back on warm days.
