Yes, it's loud. Some reviews say too loud.

People tell us the music is too loud, in reviews, and they're not wrong. The DJ starts with the first table and the night gets louder as it goes. If that sounds bad, close this page. If that's what you've been looking for, read on.

How the volume goes on a Friday

We haven't put a decibel meter on it, so here's the plain version.

  1. 5pmFirst tables. The DJ's already playing and you can still talk. If you've got someone with you who's unsure, this is your window.
  2. LaterThe room fills up and the volume climbs. You'll be raising your voice, and you won't mind.
  3. Later stillAssume you can't have a proper conversation until you're back on the street.
  4. 10pmThe last dinner reservation. By this point, order by pointing.

Other nights have the same DJ, and on Wednesdays from 7pm it's a DJ plus people singing.

Noise questions

How loud is Cantina Rooftop?

Loud. There's a live DJ every night we're open, and the night gets louder as it goes. Some people find it too loud, so we'd rather you knew now.

Can you sit somewhere quieter?

Don't plan on it. An early table is the calmest option, and it's still got a DJ. Dinner starts at 5pm.

Is any night quieter?

Don't count on it. There's a DJ every night we're open, and on Wednesday there's also karaoke, 7 to 10pm.
