La Dama: fruit first, smoke underneath
Morita is a smoke-dried ripe jalapeño, darker and fruitier than most chipotles. In a syrup it adds a low, smoky heat under whatever fruit is on top.

A long list, from a lot of places
The name means the lady, and the drink has a lot of moving parts. Grand Marnier is a French blend of Cognac and bitter orange, dating to 1880. Meyer lemon is a sweeter citrus native to China, which Frank Meyer brought to the US in 1908.
Smoke Lab is a basmati rice vodka from India. Expect fruit first and a little smoke at the end. If you normally avoid spicy drinks, ask how much heat is in it before you order.
The morita is in a syrup on ours, under Smoke Lab vodka, strawberry, pineapple, Grand Marnier and Meyer lemon.

What is a morita chile?
A ripe red jalapeño that has been smoked and dried. It's a smaller, darker type of chipotle, and the name means little blackberry.
What is a Meyer lemon?
A sweeter, less acidic lemon, a citrus hybrid native to China. It's named for Frank Meyer, the plant explorer who brought it to the US in 1908.
