Cheesecake, with chocolate from a different tradition
Mexican chocolate means something specific: cacao ground with sugar and cinnamon, often almond too, the way it's sold in tablets in Oaxaca for hot chocolate.

Two cities in one slice
It has a grainier, spicier character than a European chocolate bar. Cheesecake is the other half of this, and it has its own New York link. Cream cheese traces to a dairyman in Chester, New York, in 1872, though cheesecakes go back much further, to ancient Greece and Rome.
Orange and chocolate is an old partnership, and marmalade's bitterness cuts through all that cream cheese. It's dense, so have it with coffee, or take a second fork.
Orange marmalade comes with ours. The menu doesn't spell out what's in the chocolate, so ask if you're curious.
