Two Negronis from the zero-proof list

The Negroni is equal parts gin, sweet vermouth and Campari, usually traced to Florence around 1919 and a count who wanted his drink stronger. These two come off our zero-proof list.

What the names point to

Our menu lists a Phony Mezcal Negroni and a Phony Espresso Negroni and gives no ingredients, so ask your server what's being poured.

The names tell you where each one is headed: smoke in one, coffee in the other. Both take after a bitter drink, so neither is a safe pick if you want something sweet. If you normally drink Negronis and you're skipping alcohol tonight, start here. A churro next to the espresso one makes a fair trade.
