Valentine's Day in NYC 2027 Falls on a Sunday. Here's What That Changes
Valentine's Day 2027 is a Sunday. The next day is Presidents' Day, and the Super Bowl is set for the same evening. That puts three things on one long weekend, and it may make Saturday the 13th as hard a table as the 14th. Sunset on the day is about 5:28pm.

What a Sunday changes
Saturday becomes a real option. With Valentine's Day on a Sunday, we'd expect plenty of couples to go out on Saturday the 13th. It's a later night, and most people don't work on Sunday. If you have your heart set on a table on a specific night, book that one first.
Sunday has a game in it. The NFL has Super Bowl LXI at SoFi Stadium on February 14, and ESPN and ABC have the broadcast. Recent Super Bowls have kicked off around dinnertime on the East Coast, so expect it to run through the normal dinner hour. Sports bars will be full. If your date cares about the game, have the conversation early. If neither of you does, a table during the game may be easier to find. Confirm the kickoff time closer to the day.
Monday is free for many people. Presidents' Day is the third Monday in February, which is the 15th. If you're coming to New York from out of town, that gives you three nights without taking a day off. Note that plenty of restaurants close on Mondays, and that includes us.
Restaurant Week is already over. NYC Tourism's page has the winter 2027 program running January 19 to February 11, so don't count on those prices that weekend.

The Times Square Alliance runs this every year, and its page already says 2027: surprise proposals on the big screens, weddings in the square, and a vow renewal on the Red Steps in Duffy Square from 6pm to 6:30pm. Its page doesn't list a price. Couples can apply for the proposals and weddings, and the Alliance says the half-hour timing leaves room for dinner and a show after. Details for the day aren't posted yet, so sign up on their page if you want to take part.
Skating at Bryant Park · about 24 min
The rink runs through February 28, 8am to 10pm, weather permitting. Admission is free with your own skates, but you have to reserve a time. Rentals ran $18.72 to $64.48 when we checked, depending on the slot. It's a holiday weekend, so reserve ahead. bryantpark.org
The Orchid Show, in the Bronx
The New York Botanical Garden's show runs February 6 to April 25, 2027, so it's on that weekend. It's a warm conservatory full of flowers in the middle of February, which is a good argument on its own. Book timed tickets ahead. nybg.org
Sunset on the piers · about 9 min
The Hudson piers face west, and they're free. Sunset on the 14th is about 5:28pm, and Pier 84, at W 44th St, is the close one. It'll be cold and windy by the river, so go for 15 minutes, then get indoors. For the walk, see our Hudson River Park page.
If you pick us
This isn't the quiet corner table. We're at 605 W 48th St, between 11th and 12th Aves, with a live DJ every night we're open. It's loud, and it feels more like a party than a hushed dinner. For some couples that's the whole point, especially if you'd rather laugh than whisper. The glass roof closes and the room is heated when it's cold. Casual clothes are fine. We start at tables of two.

If you come on Saturday or Sunday before 4pm, weekend brunch is the daylight option. The full week: Tuesday to Thursday 5pm to 11pm (last reservation 10pm), Friday 5pm to 3am, Saturday 12pm to 3am and Sunday 12pm to 9:30pm. Closed Mondays. It's free to book online for 2 to 8, with no deposit, and the rest of what we serve is on the menu.
